What a fantastic turn-out, it was so cool to see you all there, having fun with your whanau, enjoying the great music (thank you Song Merchants and Ukulele group!), the games, the stone carving, the pop-up op-shop and the food while getting your jab! We have to thank a lot of people today, because without them the Phillipstown Whanau Fun Day wouldn't have been possible. First of all the Canterbury Refugee Resettlement and Resource Centre for the great food and the amazing skill shown at the BBQ and The Tannery Boutique Shopping, Dining & Arts Emporium, Cassels Brewing Co and the whole Cassels family for joining in: having you all at the Hub was magic, thank you for the great pizzas, the cupcake, the fruit, the drinks and ... the bus, it is so gorgeous! |

The walks are an opportunity to learn and share stories and connect with neighbours, community organisations and businesses in the area.
The walks aim to celebrate the history of one of the oldest neighbourhoods of the city as well as the stories of the people who have lived in Philipstown to create and amplify a sense of joy, meaning and belonging.
Our walks will finish with a free coffee and a great korero.
The walks and the conversation they stimulate will be documented by the Phillipstown Community Centre Charitable Trust to gain a better understanding of the community through neighbourhood information, mapping and story-telling - to collect people's insights and narratives about the Phillipstown area, which may be used for future projects.
These events are perfect for the young, the old, those who have lived here for years, and our newest neighbours as well.
We will hold the walk during drizzle - but don't want us to be miserable. We will review the weather at 9am on the morning and will contact participants via email and/or text if the walks are postponed.
Free to participate but please book your ticket emailing viviana@phillipstown.org.nz
